A nourishing shea butter bio and lavender body treatment
Combine the regenerating benefits of shea butter with the soothing virtues of lavender, and you’ll get the perfect homemade body butter you’ll want in your bathroom at all costs! Made with only natural ingredients, it’s very easy to make at home. Here is what you need :
1 cup of shea butter bio
1/2 cup of sweet almond oil
4 drops of lavender essential oil
Melt the shea butter in a double boiler and add the oils. Pour the mixture into the container of your choice and let stand for about 1 hour in the refrigerator. Then, whisk to obtain a rather thick and foamy consistency. If you find the balm still too liquid and light, you can let it rest a little longer and whip it again until the consistency is just right for you.
Keep dry and use from head to toe without reserve!
A homemade body scrub
Sometimes neglected, your lips also need attention! To keep them soft and smooth, remember to remove dead skin by exfoliating them regularly, and of course to moisturize them.
To make your shea butter bio scrub at home, you need :
1 teaspoon of shea butter
2 teaspoons of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of honey
2 drops of vanilla essential oil
In a bowl, mix all your ingredients together until smooth. Then transfer the mixture to a small jar, which you will keep out of the refrigerator, in a dry and dark place.
You can apply it once or twice a week with your finger, massaging gently. Then rinse with clear water.
Moisturizing Lip Balm Recipe
Then comes the essential and complementary step of hydration. The recipe of the natural shea butter balm is also very simple:
15 g of shea butter bio
10 ml apricot kernel oil
2 drops of wheat germ oil (which acts as a preservative)
2 drops of geranium essential oil (for a floral scent)
Melt together the shea butter and apricot kernel oil in a double boiler. Once you have obtained a well-melted product, add the wheat germ oil and the geranium essential oil. Pour it into your small jar, and place in the refrigerator overnight.
Your homemade shea butter lip balm is ready to use! Just like the scrub, make sure to keep it away from light and in a dry place, and apply generously on a daily basis. Your lipstick will hold better, and your lips will look smoother, without cracks or dead skin!
So, simple these homemade body care recipes, right? And completely natural!
